Years ago I had a vision of a Rainbow Chainmail Dress.
It wasn’t for a Medieval Battle, or a costume, or for Burning Man.
The Rainbow Chainmail Dress was a symbolic idea. It was a metaphor for a deeper story…
I imagined the Rainbow Chainmail Dress could only be worn by those committed to their destined path and fiercely fueled by their dreams.
I imagined whoever wore the Rainbow Chainmail Dress was protected during deep healing and transformational journeys. I imagined they were held in a protective cocoon, guarded against distraction and shielded from the doubt of those who could not see their dreams.
The Rainbow Chainmail Dress became an anointing talisman for the Rainbow Warrior.
The Rainbow Warrior is someone whose heart has gone through the cleansing mud of transformation and awakened the power of their wings. Able to fly through challenge and stretch beyond any limiting beliefs encasing their dreams.
Guided by a force bigger than their own awareness, The Rainbow Warrior is devoted to a love so big they themselves can only see glimpses of its vast landscape.
They defend this love with their whole heart.
When I had the vision for the Rainbow Chainmail Dress, I considered learning the craft to bring the vision to life.
Then I realized it would be way more pleasurable to find someone whose passion included spending hundreds of hours building such a symbol. This is when I magically discovered a husband and wife team from Ringcrafts who were ignited by the notion of making this dress for me as it fed their own purpose and path as Rainbow Warriors.
This photo shows my original Rainbow Chainmail Dress sketch along with a photo of the Ringcrafts team arriving at my studio with the completed Rainbow Chainmail Dress. It took over 6 months for them to make this dress. When it finally arrived…
I admired the Rainbow Chainmail Dress for months before putting it on.
It stood in my studio like a Zen Monk training me in a modality I didn’t understand.
It was as if I was earning the right to wear the dress by going through a preparation process.
In my preparation process I journeyed through many layers of limiting beliefs and self doubt. I wrote an article about transforming Self Doubt here.
When the day finally came for the Ceremonial ‘wearing’ of the Rainbow Chainmail Dress over 2 years had past since the original vision had been gifted to my consciousness.
I was surprised by how heavy the dress was and felt its weight as an offering to build my strength and encourage me to find lightness within.
Embodying the teachings of the Rainbow Warrior through a Ceremonial photoshoot.
Creating images is a ceremonial experience for me. It is where I get to turn my ideas into reality and dance on the divine stage in communion with my visions.
During this Rainbow Warrior Embodiment process I discovered things take time. There is a natural process that needs to be respected and not rushed. There is time involved in making beautiful things. There is time involved in learning deep lessons and gaining wisdom. There is time involved in transformation.
I learned the Rainbow Warrior is someone who respects time because they trust the bigger picture.
I discovered the Rainbow Warrior is capable of traveling the full channel of creation from idea to reality. The Rainbow Warrior is commited to their path, and willing to put in the time necessary to make their dreams real.
The Rainbow Warrior is someone on a destined path devoted to their dreams!
This creation is dedicated to the Rainbow Warrior in you!
What dreams are calling you? Are you respecting the time it takes to make your dreams real? Are you giving your full heart to your inspired path?
What qualities do you feel make up a Rainbow Warrior?
