Laura Hollick | Rainbow House Art Exhibition

Rainbow House Art Exhibition

September 17, 2017

The journey began with an old, dilapidated house calling for healing and transformation.

My artist soul heard the call and answered with a rainbow blanket of love. I created a patchwork of painted panels to hold the house while it healed and prepared to transform into its next expression. This became known as The Rainbow House.

The Rainbow House journey continues…

Now that the house has been torn down, both the land where the house was, and the art that held the home, are transitioning into their next expression.  The rainbow art continues to circulate love and inspiration through a Public Art exhibit at the Hamilton Public Library.

The rainbow painted panels are on display in a gorgeous, light-drenched space in the heart of downtown Hamilton, on the corner of the James Street North Art District. The art has been placed on the floor to represent the take down of the house, while also showing us how new pathways open through the process of transformation.

The Rainbow House Art Exhibit is on display until September 30th at the Hamilton Public Library, Main Branch, 55 York Blvd, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

There is an inspirational video accompanying the exhibition to give you the full story of the Rainbow House Project. You can watch it here.

The Rainbow House Project is a symbol of a much bigger transformation happening in our world today.

Mirroring the deep shifts happening within our inner and outer world.  There is a call to embrace the old, dilapidated, shadowy aspects of ourselves and our culture and let them heal so they can transform into their next expression.

Each time I think about The Rainbow House I imagine what would be possible if we held ourselves and each other with a rainbow blanket of love.

May the Rainbow House and Rainbow Art awaken a deeper sense of love and creativity within you so you may heal and transform into your next expression.

I’d love to hear what the Rainbow House means to you?
