Changing into Receipt Dress on the New York Subway

October 26, 2019

Seeing eccentric people on the subway in New York isn’t unusual, but when you realize you’re one of them, it calls for some reflection.

During a recent trip to New York, photographer Kevin Thom and I were on a quest to find interesting places to photograph my Receipt Dress in action for a new project we’re working on called “Your Money Sovereignty.”

The Receipt Dress is a symbol of cultivating a conscious relationship with money. The dress was made with receipts that I collected over a 20 year period to bring consciousness to everything I bought, from small purchases like organic apples, to larger purchases, like a new computer, and everything in between.

The way we spend our money says a lot about the way we consciously, or unconsciously, use our energy.

I’ll be sharing more about “Your Money Sovereignty” in the coming weeks to enrich your relationship with money, and awaken a new level of consciousness within our money systems.

In the meantime, check out this video to see me changing into the Receipt Dress on the New York Subway…

A lot of New Yorkers came up to me during our Receipt Dress photo quest. They were curious about what was going on, and what I was trying to say with this crazy outfit. As I shared a bit about the Receipt Dress and it’s symbolism, I felt the wheels turning with light bulb moments as they started to think about money in a new way.

You can tell a lot about someone by the way they spend their money.

Something to ponder….

What do your spending patterns reveal about you and your values?

Creating a new relationship with money starts with an honest reflection.
