Jane Ashley
This art began with a piece of driftwood that I found on the banks of the Connecticut river, where I live with my family. The driftwood is shaped in a ring, and brings forth the image of a Yoni portal to Divinely feminine embodiment. In the center of the driftwood Yoni are 7 colored roses, representing the Chakras and the energy of Mary Magdalene. The female figures represent the holding of both the shadow and the light aspects of who we are. Empowerment and embodiment reside beyond the veil, and are accessed by traveling through the Yoni portal and the Chakras. The four elements of earth, air, water and fire are represented through the imagery and color of the background landscape, and ALL is being held in the hands of the Mother and Universal Life Force, represented by the sacred geometry of the Flower of Life pattern.
