These are sculptures of the inner labia using clay, paint, and crystal embellishments. I am referring to the piece as “Open” – as I was remembering while creating it, that as a child my labia minora was closed, and I had to have doctors and my mother treat me with progesterone cream in order to remain open.

Wanting to introduce a spiritually and emotionally supportive tool to the sex toy market, crystals were her answer.
